All of our events will be in person and some specific events will have a virtual option for our remote attendees. Each event will follow the current COVID-19 guidelines provided by Cornell. All in-person participants in any of the events must a) be members of the Cornell community and b) have RSVP'd for that event no later than October 10th. In addition, attendees must remain masked at all talks and panels and anywhere they are required to do so by university policy.
Events will include keynote speakers, panel discussions, lightning talks, and informal gatherings. Read below for more information about each of our events and how to get involved.
Keynote Speakers
We will have two keynote speakers. The goal of our keynote speaker events is to inspire our attendees and provide a framework for what interdisciplinary research in AI looks like. These events are open to the larger research community, including professors.
Dr. Avery Slater from the English Department at University of Toronto will speak on Thursday, Oct. 14th, from 11:30am-12:30pm at Baker Laboratory 135
Dr. Ryan Calo from the Law School at University of Washington will speak virtually on Friday, Oct. 15th, from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Emerson Hall 135

Panel Discussions
We will have four panel discussions that each focus on a different, interdisciplinary topic. Each panel will consist of three panelists and one moderator, all of them conducting research related to the topic at hand in different contexts. The goal of the panels is to encourage discussion across departments and researchers. Click below to learn more about each panel.
Lightning Talks
Want to share your research with the rest of the attendees? Indicate in the RSVP form and sign up for a 5-minute lightning talk presentation. The goal of these events is to highlight the research being done at Cornell and to form collaborations across departments.
Lightning talks will be Thursday, Oct. 14th, 4:30-5:00pm and Friday, Oct 15th, 9-10am.
